The new modules are:

  • MSC SM2S-ASL— SMARC 2.1.1 compliant with Short Size form factor – This module offers triple independent display support and fast LPDDR5 memory with up to 16GB soldered down memory chips ideal for rugged applications. It comes with two Gigabit Ethernet ports and one SGMII with up to 2.5GbE bandwidth on a power saving and cost-efficient SMARC module.
  • MSC C6C-ASL— COM Express Type 6 compliant with Compact form factor – This module can drive up to three independent displays. The COM Express Type 6 interface allows direct access to digital display interfaces including DisplayPort, HDMI and a choice of LVDS versus eDP. Up to a maximum of 16GB DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM memory can be installed.
  • MSC C10M-ASL— COM Express Type 10 compliant with Mini form factor – This module offers dual independent display support and fast LPDDR5 memory with up to 16GB soldered down memory chips ideal for rugged applications. It comes with one Gigabit Ethernet port with up to 2.5GbE bandwidth on a power saving COM Express mini module.

Other capabilities:

  • Integrated Intel UHD graphics with up to 32 execution units (EU) and a maximum of 4k resolution
  • On-board eMMC storage with a maximum of 256GB
  • In-band ECC option for protecting memory data
  • Versatile IO including PCIe Gen 3, USB3.2 & 2.0,1 / 2.5Gbps Intel Ethernet, up to dual MIPI-CSI camera interfaces

“These new products extend Avnet’s already extensive product portfolio of Intel Atom-based Computer on Modules (CoM) products,” said Thomas Staudinger, President, Avnet Embedded. “These options will bring additional functionality and performance to industrial grade applications such as robotics, automation, PLCs, HMI, medical devices, digital signage, point of sales terminals, and intelligent camera solutions.”
